My own experience of being in therapy had a profoundly positive effect on the trajectory of my life and inspired me to become a therapist. This was initially in my 20’s, and when I felt the time was right and I had gained more life experience, I left my career as a Lecturer and re-trained.
I’ve now been working with clients since 2017, and had my own private practice since 2020.
Through my work as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of people, experiencing a variety of life challenges at different points in their lives.
Whilst re-training, I worked in a local charity which supported women who had experienced trauma. Prior to that I was a college lecturer and managed services that supported people facing barriers to employment and education.
I have more recently trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and was brought to this through my own lived experience of a chronic health condition which involved pain and a myriad of other symptoms. After multiple visits to multiple medical doctors and alternative practitioners, through which I at best gained temporary relief, I discovered PRT and mind body medicine and embarked on my own healing journey and today live symptom free.
